Massage is a regulated health profession in Italy.

Masseur is registered in the EU regulated professions database as follows:
Masseur/Massage therapist/Spa therapist/Masseur-Aesthetician is a directly related regulated profession with title “Massaggiatore e bagnino terapeutico/ balneoterapista/ idroterapista” recognized under Directive 2005/36/EC(5), ID 3305.

General system of recognition- primary application. Qualification level: DSE – Diploma (post-secondary education), including Annex II (ex 92/51, Annex C,D) , Art. 11 c(7).
